Cats of the Clans RP *open*

Alrighty! This is a RP for the series Warriors, which are cats in clans, protecting territories, fighting for their clans, loyalty, love, and even betrayal!
Four clans, Thunderclan, Riverclan, Windclan, Shadowclan. Each has a leader, deputy, warriors, med. cat, apprentices, elders and queens.<(She-cats expecting kits)

Mallowstar overlooked the camp, glad for the progress. Leafpaw had just been made an apprentice a moon ago, and she was showing promise. They had found her when she was 5 moons, and she needed to be 6 to start the apprenticeship, so she got to sit around for a little while and relax.
She looked up as Hawkeyes and Emberstorm entered through the gorse tunnel, carrying fresh-kill.
"Nice catch, you two."she called, jumping down to meet them.
"Thanks. Prey is flourishing now that it's Greenleaf(summer)."Hawkeyes replied, setting down a large squirrel.
"Yes! Thank Starclan for this rabbit! Where's Leafpaw?"Emberstorm chimed in, glancing around the empty camp.
"Leafpaw? She's still asleep!"Mallowstar replied, pointing with her tail to the Apprentice den.
"I see, thank you, Mallowstar! I'll get her up and then we can go to the Training Hollow!"Emberstorm called over her shoulder as she trotted off. She entered the den, and Leafpaw's complain was heard across camp.
"Get up? Now? Argh."she moaned, then a second later both she-cats appeared out of the den, and Leafpaw was instructed to eat, then they would leave.
"Okay, Emberstorm."
The young she-cat grabbed a mouse from the pile and started munching on it, tail twitching.

((REPLY,PEOPLE!! Sorry for double posting, but I need to continue this story to get it out of my head.))

Mallowstar sighed and turned around as Emberstorm and Leafpaw rustled out of the camp entrance.
"Hawkeyes, we need more cats."she finally spoke, getting an unsatisfactory grunt as a reply.
"Tomorrow at sun-high, I want you and I to go to twoleg place...I know, don't look so surprised. It's a long shot, but I think we may find some kittypets willing to become warriors. I'm praying to Starclan that there will be at least one."she explained, then waited for his response.
"It could work,"he started, tailtip twitching,"but that is also a huge hope, that has an equally large probability there will be none, and it will be hopeless."
"Yes, but I think we are all willing to take that chance. And look at Leafpaw, who just practically wandered into our camp! There has to be at least one more young kit willing to come?"
"Maybe, Mallowstar. Maybe."

[nervartius]

Axis and Toffie looked at the forest beyond their horse-fence. "Go out and touch a tree! I dare ya!" Purred Axis to her sister. "You know that Bandit said we shouldn't go into the forest! We both know what happens when he comes back from in there! He's always bleeding from claw-marks and is often limping! Do you want whatever is living in there to do that to us?" hissed Toffie, her fur along her spine standing up in fear. "I'm sure that just going in for a little while won't hurt us Toff." Mewed Axis, jumping down of of her fallen log to rub against her sister's small face. "Lets go in and explore! Even if we do get in trouble, I'll protect you." Reassured, Toffie and Axis padded along the deer-path, past the thorn apple trees and into the forest. Toffie stuck along the path while her sister bounced on and off, following new scents and playing with leaves. A small un-natural sound occurred, a small branch snapping. "AAAxxisss... We need to go back!" Protested Toffie. Axis stopped in the path ahead and looked back, her tailed curled in amusement. Axis's tail dropped slowly along with her mouth as she stared at something behind her sister...

Emberstorm stood just behind one of the kits, almost purring in amusement at the expression of the kit staring at her. She probably would look menacing, she supposed, since she had a decently sized scar across her muzzle.
"And just what do two kittypets think they are doing trespassing on clan territory?"she spoke out, making sure her voice sounded cold, but not too threatening. She didn't want to scare them away, after all. They needed too many more clan members to do that.
Leafpaw came up to stand beside her, tall and silent.
"Not here to steal prey, are you?"the apprentice questioned, taking a small step forward, her eyes like thorns piercing their little hearts.

Toffie whirled around in fear, and saw the large queen glaring at her, and when the queen spoke! Oh goshness, Toffie almost fainted on the spot! Axis however, took offence to the pair's questions and hissed, "Why should you care what we're doing here? You don't come by here very often and I think we have every right to explore what is just outside the fence!" She glared at the two, and settled her amber eyes on the apprentince as her sister scrambled to get behing her. "And YOU! we don't want to hunt here. If we wanted to hunt, we could have hunted on our own land."

[Sonny Guire]

"Oh really? Is that what you think, ignorant kit?"Emberstorm growled, taking a step forward, ears back."That we just let every stray kittypet that comes by, in with open paws?"
She chuckled darkly."I think not."
"What is outside your twoleg fence is of no concern to you. The only concern we have is what you, an inexperienced little pair of soft kittypet's, are doing trespassing on clan territory. How old are you, eight or nine moons? Old enough to have hunted, if in a clan, but now you're probably so used to twoleg life that you would refuse."Emberstorm continued, making the last part a hidden challenge to the two little she-cats.
Of course Leafpaw had to but in.
"Plus, you haven't hunted probably because you don't know how to! No twoleg pet has to hunt for every meal, you get fed wet slop in a bowl every day. That's no life. Until you've tasted a mouse that you've caught, you haven't lived. And you aren't catching it here, so you should leave if you knew what was good for you."the apprentice threatened. If these kittypets were going to join their clan, they would have to be braver than normal kittypets, not running away at the first sight of a clan cat. So far, one was passing while the other failed.

Now it was Toffie's turn to retort. "You may call us soft kittypets, but we aren't!" She growled, coming around Axis. "We hunt for our own food, and enjoy the flavor. We aren't dumb enoough to hunt on your land. We've seen what you'e done to our friend Bandit just for killing mice that went from our land to yours, mice that he killed just on the border." "And just so you know, we aren't soft inside cats you two." hissed Axis, fluffing out her fur and digging her claws into the soft soil. Toffie touched her with her tail, advising her to keep from slashing the younger cat. The two glared in unison at the two clan cats, their flame colored eyes almost literally sparking in anger.

"Well then it would be best for you to leave."Leafpaw snarled, tail thrashing now from her frustration with these two pesky kittypets."Or we'll have to force you to."
Her eyes turned to icy slits and she unsheathed her long hooked claws.
But Emberstorm just laughed.
"And just what do you hunt, little ones? Old mice and beetles? Until you have been trained properly I can't see how much use you are hunting."she commented, then just shrugged.
"We have no time to waste arguing with defiant kittypets, so we'll lead you to the border. If you are caught in clan territory again, you won't get off as easily nest time. I promise."her seemingly kinder words were spoken, laced with a silent threat.
She stepped forward, nudging the two around, making sure they kept walking. If they tried to attack, she would have to defend, simple as that. This was the first time they had met these kittypets, but Emberstorm had often seen them staring off longingly into their territory, so she was sure this wouldn't be the last time she saw them. Almost positive.

At home, in the barn, Toffie watched Axis stare out the open barn door. Their two-leg, Sarah had left the door open, letting the cool summer night breeze waft over the two. Rolling over, Toffie said, "Well Ax, we better stay here for a while." Axis just nodded, her black pelt almost blending in with the shadows. Suprised, Toffie jumped off the old-two-leg-path-beast seat to sit becides her sister. "A mouse for your thoughts." she purred, looking up at the cat-smile moon.
"Those two... did you notice how the older one sort of implied that they were allowing cats to join them?" Axis mummered, shifting her paws around.
"Yes. I think tomorrow, that we should go hunting in our feild." purred Toffie.
"That might not be a bad idea. I'm in the mood for a fresh mouse anyway."
"Then lets go to bed on our hay-bales."
Together, Axis and Toffied jumped onto the seat and over the stall door behind, landing on a pile of loose straw that lay on top of the straw-bales. They curled up and slept, not noticing or stirring when Bandit jumped in and purred in amusement before falling asleep becides then.

Emberstorm and Leafpaw returned from the hollow, worn out from battle training.
"How'd it go?"Hawkeyes called from the fresh-kill pile.
"Great! I learned this awesome new move where you have to lunge and dodge and then swipe out their paws and..."she went on and on."Oh! And we ran into two little kittypets in the woods, trespassing on our territory."
"Really?"he replied, glancing questioningly at Emberstorm.
"Yeah, I was planning on telling Mallowstar about it, but she didn't give me a chance to."she added, giving her apprentice a meaningful glance."Alright, Leafpaw. You go eat then rest in your den until sunrise. Then we can go hunting!"
Leafpaw nodded eagerly, dashing over to the pile, quickly choosing a thrush for herself and digging in, Emberstorm soon following.
The clan leader appeared from her den, trotting over, nodding greetings.
"I heard something about kittypets and trespassing..what was that all about?"she questioned Emberstorm.
"We found two she-cat kittypets wandering around in our territory. Very rude and defiant, too. I had to escort them out of the territory, and one of them looked like she was going to slash Leafpaw to shre-"
'Which would NEVER happen! I will NOT be shredded by a kittypet!"Leafpaw butted in, then finished her thrush and nodded goodnights before heading to her den.
All three purred in amusement at her statement, and watched as she left, tail held high, and dashed eagerly into her nest.
"I think it's time we all rest as well."Hawkeyes commented, and after he got no reply, all three headed for their dens, Mallowstar to the leaders, Hawkeyes and Emberstorm trotted into the warriors. Soon the soft snores of sleeping cats floated out into the clearing.

(Three days pass, no major events.)

Axis pushed her way out of the barn, by means of a handy cat-door that was in the barn wall ever sence she arrived on this farm. She stretched, then padded out into the field. Drawing scents over her tounge, she walked around, avoiding mole-holes and wet spots. A small rustle in the grass alerted Axis to prey hiding in the weeds. Killing the mouse went quickly, and Axis padded back to the barn with her prey. A sleepy Toffie was picking at the cat-food and watching the rabbits move in their cages. Spotting Axis, she purred, "Good morning! Is that for me?"
"Yes."
"Good... Omigoshthness...thihs ish shooo goodth..."
When Toffie finished to mouse, the two shared tounges for a while, then went on border patrol together. They padded along, checking Bandit's scent-markings and re-marking if needed in the traditonal fashon. "It would be intresting if the two clan-cats came by." remarked Axis, digging her claws into a old, rotten tree.

Mallowstar stretched, claws digging into the soft soil.
"It's going to be a nice day, I believe."she purred as Hawkeyes approached, tail flicking in greeting.
"I think so too. What shall we do about those two kittypets? They've been very close to the border lately, though I believe they're just marking their own."
"Hm. I'd like to see these two for myself, maybe invite them into the clan?"she wondered aloud.
"Possibly. They already hunt for themselves most of the time. I saw the brown one kill a vole almost as well as Leafpaw, even unintentionally using the hunters crouch."he replied, sitting down to wash a paw.
"Really? Interesting.."
Mallowstar turned to Emberstorm, who had just padded sleepily into the clearing.
"Emberstorm, you're in charge while we're gone. I want to meet these kits for myself."she called, jumping down from the ledge, trotting towards the young warrior.
"Alright, Mallowstar. I'll keep everything under control. I'll need to speak with you soon, though."the orange she-cat replied, then bent down to eat a mouse.
"I'll speak with you later. Good bye!"
Mallowstar trotted briskly through the bracken tunnel, Hawkeyes following just behind her.
As they headed up the ridge, they quickened their pace. As they made their way, there was suddenly a rush of wings, and a pheasant started out of a nearby bush. As fast as lightning Hawkeyes leapt up after it, claws hooking onto it's tail feathers to drag it to the ground. Mallowstar held it down with a paw and killed it with a swift bite.
"Nice catch!"she praised the tom, who was now burying it for their trip back.
"Thanks. Good teamwork on both of our parts, I guess."he purred, happy with their sudden catch.
They soon approached the border, and Hawkeyes marked it where it was becoming stale. The fresh scent of young she-cat's hit their noses, and they were quickly hidden just before the pair padded by.

Axis and Toffie strolled straight past the two clan cats, chatting quietly as they padded along the border. Axis scented the cats first and flicked her dark tail over Toffies' shoulder to alert her. "You can come out now." Toffie meowed, eyeing the trees and bushes that lay behind the fence.

Mallowstar let out a mrrow of laughter before she appeared before the young cats, head held high.
"It's a good sign, Hawkeyes, at least they use their noses."she called over her shoulder, just before the large tom padded up casually to join her.
"Good, good. It's a start."
His deep voice almost sounded like a deep-throated growl, but he was amused.
"Greetings, young ones. I, am Mallowstar, leader of ____clan. This is Hawkeyes, my deputy."she greeted the she-cats formally.

(((What is this clan?? I'll add the name when we decide.)))

[nervartius]

"Hello!" the two mewed in unison. "I'm Toffie and this is my sister Axis" Purred Toffie indicating with her tail. "Are you in the same group as the two that threatened us before?"

[Sonny Guire]

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Axis, Toffie. Yes, they are part of my clan. I apologize if they were a little too rude, Emberstorm has been getting tired of chasing out pesky loners and is getting irritable, and Leafpaw is just your age, maybe younger, so she's just learning the ropes."Mallowstar replied kindly."You two, are you good hunters?"

[nervartius]

"Yes." purred Axis happpily bobbing up and down like a stork and young-cat-hyperness. "Our friend Bandit taught us how. Would you lke us to show you?"
Toffie nodded, her sister taking the words right out of her head.

[Sonny Guire]

"Ah I see. I would love to see it."Mallowstar purred, sitting back on her haunches. Hawkeyes lifted his head and sniffed, getting a look in his eyes.
"Toffie, go catch that vole by the stream, Axis, that squirrel under the ash tree. Hurry!"he ordered gently, amusement in his mew.

Toffie padded over to the small stream. Crouching, she snuck up on the vole. With a small twich of her muscles, she pounced on the vole, killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

Axis crept into the leaves and brambles by the tree, scenting her way around. When she got close to th tree-roots where the squirrel was pertched, the wind shifted, wafting her scent towards the small mammal. The moment the wind shifted, Axis burst out of a bush, clawed up the tree slightly and grabbed the squirrel's tail in her jaws and dragged it down to be killed.
Purring, the two joined back up and dropped their kills in front of Mallowstar and Hawkeyes.
"Will this do?"

For the first time in awhile, Hawkeyes purred.
"Yes, yes it will. I'm very impressed with your hunting skills! Bandit taught you well!"he replied approvingly. Mallowstar was impressed as well.
"Very good job, Axis. That catch was perfectly timed. Toffie, that vole never saw you coming! Now that brings me down to one more question for you both. Since you have lived here most of your life, it may be difficult for you. I was wondering, and even daring to hope, you would like to become apart of our clan. You do not have to answer right now. If your thinking that, oh, but those other two she-cats are apart of the clan, and they're mean, don't. Emberstorm wasn't actually being mean when you talked to her, she was actually quite amused by you two, and even impressed by how spirited you both are. Leafpaw is younger than you, so defending her territory against intruders was her first thought, not trying to be friendly so you could join the clan. So give them a second chance, please. We don't just invite any old cat that strays into our territory, either. Only cats that show promise, not like a rogue who looks like he would rip your pelt off while you sleep! You two are very special to me, and if you say yes, I would be honored and more than excited, but I will fully understand if you decline."she explained, then after a few moments padded up to both and rested her head on each of their shoulders, before turning and padding away to the edge of their territory and glancing back, while Hawkeyes said his goodbyes. As he joined her, she spoke to them again.
"We must return to the clan now. But I will return here at sunhigh tomorrow, alone, underneath the tree where Axis's squirrel was. Alright? Now you two rest and enjoy the prey that you caught, because you will need your energy if you are to decide to make the long trek back to camp with me. Until tomorrow, you two,"she called, she waved her tail and vanished into the forest, Hawkeyes glancing at them one more time before following. There was no proof that they had ever been there, not even the shaking of the bushes they had entered or sound of their pawsteps, only the prey that was at the young cats feet and the ever-fading scent of the two forest cats.

"What should we do sis?" meowed Axis, her fur riffleing slightly in a light breeze as she looked over at her sister.
"We should join them." Toffie replied calmly, her amber eyes sparking with excitement. "I mean, if we go..."
"We can meet new cats,"
"hunt more prey,"
"And actually do something with our lives!" they yowled in unison. Smiling, they picked their prey up and padded towards the barn, excited for the next day to come.

Mallowstar and Hawkeyes were met at the center of camp by Emberstorm and Leafpaw.
"I have invited them to join the clan."she announced simply. Leafpaw looked surprised, while Emberstorm didn't at all.
"I knew you would. New clanmates, yay! I know they won't decline! Now, Leafpaw, you have to make friends with them, you know,"Emberstorm bubbled,"But, Mallowstar, we have news of our own...we met this huge tom and his little she-cat friend while on border patrol. But anyway, he is a very strong and noble cat, but very quiet...his name is Gage, and the little kit is Speckle. I need you to meet them, because we told them that we would see what you said...AND, get this, they believe in Starcan!! How interesting is that?"
Mallowstar was very surprised at the sudden burst of information.
"Uh-yeah, that's nice. H-how long did you speak with them?"she stammered, struggling to regain her composure, which had left her when she heard that two new cats had been spotted, interested in joining the clan as well.
"A little while, but then they had to get back, so they will meet you tomorrow evening."
"Evening? Great Starclan, I'm going to get Axis and Toffie at dawn, then meeting these cats in the evening? What a busy day! Let's eat then get some rest, so I won't be too exhausted from both trips!"
The four clan cats settled in next to the fresh-kill pile, Emberstorm and Mallowstar sharing a rabbit while Hawkeyes munched on a sparrow, and Leafpaw was already on her second mouse.
"Goodnight!"Mallowstar called, getting the same in return as they all headed for their dens.
Maybe one of those she-cats will become Medicine cat? I do hope so, we need one badly.. Mallowstar thought, just before she fell asleep.

[nervartius]

Axis poked her drooling sister in the side with a quick jab.
"Huh!? I didn't poop inside! I swear!" meowed Toffie, jolting awake with a start.
"Siiillllly. We have to go to the borderline soon. It's starting to get dark" Axis mewed simply, watching her sister pop up and start grooming.
"K. I'm ready now!"
With a final goodbye to Bandit, the two padded out onto the property and to the ash tree where the squirrel met a most horrible death.

(MORNING!)

Mallowstar stretched and left her den, greeted by the warmth on her fur and the singing of the birds.
"Ah, what a nice start to such a busy day!"she purred, grooming herself all over. She had just finished licking her belly fur when a rough meow called in greeting.
"Good morning, Hawkeyes! Can you please wake Emberstorm and Leafpaw? Thank you!"she replied warmly.
"Alright, be right back."
She jumped down from the high rock, and grabbed a squirrel from the fresh-kill pile that had been caught last evening. She started gulping it down when all three cats approached. She shared her meal with Leafpaw, who was slightly surprised when she asked her if she wanted a bite.
"Alright, Emberstorm, because you already know where they are, you are coming with me this evening. Alright? I'm leaving shortly to retrieve Axis and Toffie, so I trust that Hawkeyes will take good care of everything. I need a dawn patrol, and try and hunt on the way if you can."Mallowstar explained. She left the last bite for the apprentice before standing up and heading towards the camp entrance.
"I'll back soon!"she called over her shoulder as she bounded out of camp.
